Photoshop – Me

Posted on Updated on

Hi everyone. I thought since it’s a nice day, I would go out and take some pictures,…of me. I’ve taken multiple images of me and put them all in Photoshop and put them together. Now there are multiple me’s! 😀 I have always wanted to do some photography and then Photoshop it to this.

Simple process, well, simple for those who know how to use Photoshop. I had taken the images, and then set them up in the order I wanted in the layers. I then erased around me and the shadows, but left the background image. I did have to edit in a shadow as one shadow went over another me, if that makes sense.

It took me about 40-50 mins, I wasn’t counting but I haven’t been on Photoshop in a while otherwise I would have done it faster. Enjoy.

Night Sky

Posted on Updated on

Doing a lot of work recently, so I decided since I’m up late anyway, to take some pictures of the sky. Just some more long exposures. Enjoy.

Pepakura – Staff

Posted on Updated on

Here is the staff, it’s currently in the strengthening process, being covered in glue and newspaper. The problem with this one is that you cant get inside it to pop up the sides as they collapse, really, I think it’ll give it a old look to it. Just need to finish covering this, and then move onto painting. Before I paint it though, I’m going to finish building the armor and then cover that so I can paint it all at once. Enjoy.

Sunset

Posted on Updated on

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in posts, I’ve been real busy with my new project and, I’m not going to lie, I’ve been playing xbox to ( to help unwind ). So I have some lovely pictures of sunsets for you all to look at. With the sun being out recently, I thought I might as well get some pictures. Enjoy.

Pepakura – Mask

Posted on Updated on

Here are some images of the mask after being paper machéd, It’s taking a long time to make these as I’m working on three different pepakura projects at once. I was going to wear them to Comic Con in Newcastle this weekend, but I worry they may not be ready in time. I can confidently say the mask will be finished, but the staff and armour may not. Besides that, I will continue to finished them regardless as it will be fun to wear when it’s finished. Enjoy.

Pepakura – Mask

Posted on Updated on

Here is the mask I said I’d post. Looking at a new method called ‘Pepakura’, this is paper modelling, where you cut out the shapes and glue them together to create a sculpture. This particular mask is from a game called ‘Skyrim’ which most gamers are familiar with; it is a Dragon Priest Mask. I got the design randomly from the internet and can’t find this design, although I know a place where you can get a similar design and more, from an user called ‘ZombieGrimm’ on DeviantArt. Here is there page http://zombiegrimm.deviantart.com/

I am trying to make a costume using this method, but for speed (and I have had a look at other options) I’m going to paper mache the mask to make it ridged and then paint it, hopefully it turns out well. Enjoy.

Moon Light Exposure

Posted on Updated on

Here are some photo’s I took of the moon last night at around 1am. These are all practically the same image, just at different exposures ranging from a couple of seconds to about a minute. I’m planning on making a digital collage with these images at some point over the next week. Enjoy.

Train Exposure 3

Posted on Updated on

I have a few more pictures this time, and I had a bit of a play around with the zoom as the shutter was open. Enjoy.

Train Exposure 2

Posted on Updated on

Here is another two exposure photo’s of trains which I took a few hours ago. I had my tripod with my this time so it’s not as blurred. Enjoy.

While waiting for the train the other day I decided to take a long exposure. Sorry about the blur, I had no tripod. Enjoy.

Boredom

Posted on Updated on

I made this in Photoshop after being a bit bored. I had taken the picture last week and I decided to do something with it; looking at it now, the image does look a bit freaky but I like it. Enjoy.

The Spiders Web – Wrapping and Bindings

Posted on Updated on

This is a piece I made during my A Levels. It’s based from Tomás Saraceno’s work ’14 Billion’, where he recreated a spiders web after extensive research into how spider make their webs. I have taken my own perspective and created this massive piece which took over half the room, took multiple days to complete, and required 100’s of meters of string. I really enjoyed making this piece and I would love to make something similar.

The piece invites you in but also has an aspect of eeriness to it as it hangs over you and engulfs you. Upon the lines are pieces of paper with words of what friends from my class thought of spiders; the pieces of paper are so small that you have to get close to the web to read it, making it more uncomfortable for the viewer.

I also wrote a little poem to go with it:

An empty shell, an abandoned home. With no life, but memories it owns. A structure strong, that’s thick and thin. With words upon the lines, where people have been. A web cast to last generations, But people find it hard, to find these great pieces of innovation.

Moon Edit

Ok, I just found this one. I was bored one day and decided I wanted to photoshop a metropolis on to the moon. It’s not that good a photoshop, but I was and still am proud of the outcome. I do have to say that this image is made from found images on the web.

Just been searching through some of my old files on dropbox and I found these photo’s. They are the same ones from before but in a later stage of editing.
